Vegan Cheese Sauce! ๐ง๐๐ง
A creamy, dreamy, nutrient-packed, veggie-based cheese sauce that adds bold flavor to any meal! The arrowroot adds that classic gooeyness when you bring the sauce to a simmer, making it the perfect sauce for a comforting bowl of Mac n cheese!
Use as a veggie or chip dip, spread and sandwiches, drizzle over roasted veggies, add broth to make it a soup, or go the classic comfort food route with macaroni noodles and a handful of greens ๐ฏ
Ingredients:
2 c steamed chopped cauliflower
1/2 c acorn or butternut squash puree
1/2 c veggie broth
2/3 c canned coconut milk
1/2 tbsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chili powder
5 cloves roasted garlic
2 tsp ACV
3 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tsp white miso
2 tsp arrowroot
Method:
Blend everything in a high-speed blender until a smooth creamy sauce forms.
Serve as a dip, or on pasta or rice.
Refrigerate and eat within 1 week.
