Juicing – Day 4

I never thought I could love apple, lemon, and leafy green juice but after four days I can officially say the combination is wonderful! Today wasn’t so much a juicing day because I had more smoothies than juices but it everything I consumed was nutritious and energizing! I gave one 16 oz. juice to a coworker who needed much more than I did, but I replaced it with a smoothie with greens, tahini, vanilla, and banana, my go-to drink that always keeps me going. Only one more day to go, and because I will put in a full day on my feet at work I may need to sneak in an egg (organic, free-range of course!) or two in the morning. However, I am ecstatic to admit that I do not miss sugar, dairy, or gluten thus far.

Friday Day 4

8:30 AM: 1 slice sprouted grain toast, ½ avocado, a few slices mango

11:30 AM: 16 oz. Smoothie: berries, banana, chia seeds

1:30 PM: 16 oz. Juice: apple, lemon, leafy greens, cucumber, celery

2:30 PM: 16 oz. Smoothie: ½ frozen banana, 2 tbsp tahini, ½ c power greens (baby chard, baby kale, baby spinach), ½ tbsp shredded coconut, vanilla, ice

6:45 PM: 1 c organic rainbow chard sauteed in 2 tsp organic sunflower oil, ½ tsp garlic; 1 slice raw vegan pizza: veggie, quinoa and chia crust, 1 tbsp sundried tomato marinara, 1 tbsp cashew cheese, 1 tbsp marinated mushrooms, a few kalamata olives, basil

8 PM: Latte: 2 c raw cashew milk, 1 tsp raw honey (cheated), organic herbal tea

11 PM: 1 banana, 2 tbsp almond butter, 1 tsp shredded coconut, 1 dried fig
