The taste, or heck, even the thought of a margarita on the rocks automatically makes me happier and a lot more care-free.
Something about the sweet-sour-salty combo and the fact that it’s a summertime drink makes the margarita the perfect cocktail, in my opinion.
However, the aftermath of a couple of shots of tequila and too much sweet and sour mix never leave me feeling as good as those first few sips.
Let’s solve that problem . . .
Introducing, the Superfood Margarita!
Lime Green Color – check!
Tart & Citrusy – check!
As healthy as green juice – check!
Essential oil enhanced – check!
Tequila – take or leave it depending on the occasion
This may not be your classic margarita but the tart fruity notes, bright lime flavor, big margarita glass, and sunny weather will give you all the same feels 😉
No Cinco De Mayo is complete without a margarita, so why not swap some ingredients to make a nutrition-packed version?!

Superfood Margaritas (serves 4)
Ingredients:
1 organic tart green apple, chopped
1 small kiwi, peeled and chopped
1 tsp organic Japanese Matcha powder
8-10 drops Lime Vitality Oil
A few drops stevia and/or 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
Handful spinach (or arugula for a spicy version!)
Pinch Himalayan sea salt
2 c filtered water
4 oz high-quality tequila or lime La Croix for alcohol-free
Method:
Add all the ingredients besides the tequila/La Croix to a high-speed blender.
Blend for 1 minute or until smooth.
Strain through a fine-mesh strainer.
Divide mixture between 4 glasses, and add 1 oz tequila/La Croix to each glass.
Serve chilled, over ice with lime slices and a salted rim, if desired
